Friday Favorites: Lucky Finds

Friday, January 18, 2019

Mornin', friends, and happy Friday! I can't believe this is the third round of Lucky Finds, which means we're already THREE Fridays into the New Year.

Any fun weekend plans? It's forecasted to snow around here (although, who knows what will really happen) so we don't have anything big on the agenda. Hopefully one of my favorite types of weekends is in store: relaxing, yet productive. I'm sure the girls will want to head outside to play with the white fluffy stuff! ;)

Here are this week's Lucky Finds:

-I know I've shared about these Target bins here already, but I finally got mine and they're awesome -- the perfect size for storing smaller toys (we put Barbies/accessories into one and doll accessories into the other), and easily accessible for kids. Love them!

-I started a new show on Netflix (am I the last one to start this?) called You. Ooooh boy, I am hooked. It stars Penn Badgley as this creepy yet oddly charming stalker who becomes obsessed with a girl he's interested in. If you need a new show to binge, I recommend this one!

-Speaking of Netflix binges, has anyone watched the new season of Friends From College? I know I talked about it briefly here before, but this is another one of my favorites. I liked the first season better, but the second season still had me laughing out loud.

-This isn't really lucky, but did you mommas see Gymboree and Crazy 8 filed for bankruptcy and are closing their doors? Ugh! I'm so bummed. I'm sure they're going to have some crazy sales over the next few weeks, though, so keep an eye out. Sigh.

-I ordered these Vince Camuto booties from Macy's while they were on super sale, with a gift card my mom gave me for Christmas. I think they'll go with so much and am so excited to get them next week!

-Making my favorite chicken enchilada soup recipe for dinner tonight (which will hopefully give us leftovers for tomorrow's dinner... especially if we're snowed in). If you haven't tried it, it's the easiest crockpot recipe ever and you need to give it a shot.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, whether it's snowy or sunny where you are!

  1. I LOVED You. I binged it quickly and I can't wait for season 2 to come out. Amazing. I have been binging Friends From College as well. I love it as well. I am sooo sad about Gymboree. We get a lot of our clothes from there.

  3. We're only get rain here but they are saying it's supposed to freeze. Not so much fun with that. I need to check out You. Would you believe we just recently got Netflix? I know, I know, I'm super late to the game lol. Hope you're having a good weekend.

    1. They were predicting storms in South Jersey, too, but it's turned into nothing (thankfully!). You reeled me in -- I can't quit it! And that's totally ok, we only rely so heavily on Netflix because we cut cable a couple of years ago. I'm always late to the game with stuff like that! Have a great Sunday. :)

  6. You are so lucky with the snow! I love those relaxing but productive weekends too - I crave them as much as days out and about. You are the second person to endorse YOU - I've seen it on Netflix and really fancy giving it a try - perfect end of the week post work binge material! J xx

    1. You'll have to let me know if you watch You, Joanne! I'd be interested to hear what you think. Be warned -- it's super creepy. But it's PERFECT for a binge. Hope your Thursday is treating you (or treated you, by the time you read this!) well. :) xo
