Popping in a day late with some Friday Favorites/Lucky Finds. I hope you had a great Valentine's Day on Thursday, and have a fun weekend ahead of you. Valentine's was mostly about the kids for us, but Steve and I did exchange cards and candy and he surprised me with flowers! The girls had fun opening their little goodies. We're heading to a 2nd birthday party today and otherwise using the weekend to relax and catch up a bit. It's been a whirlwind February so far! 

I've had a ton of fun stuff bookmarked lately to share with you, so wanted to do that today. Get ready for the most random list of favorites ever:

-Are you following Jennifer Garner on Instagram? What a treat! Haha. She's actually hilarious and real and refreshing -- in a world of "perfect," it's so nice! Who are your favorite celebs to follow on the 'gram?

-Speaking of Instagram, I've occasionally been sharing step by step recipes of dinners as I make them on my stories -- like the Cuban sandwiches I made on Tuesday (the linked recipe isn't the exact I used, but close enough). Are you guys into that, or nah? I've heard some great feedback so far but wanted to check here.

-With the weather we've been having lately (ugh), I am so ready for spring and my first stop (as always) is shoes. I'm really digging slides this year. Here's a pair on the pricier side I'm in love with, and here's a steal from Target. $12.99, y'all. 

-Loved this OpEd in the New York Times about the upside to allowing kids to be bored. Would love to hear your take!

-My kids are obsessed with these Chobani Giimmies yogurt tubes. I love that it has a little extra protein than a typical yogurt.

-I need a new book to read and found this book review from a blogger I follow helpful! 

-Have any of you bought/sold on Poshmark? I've been hearing more about it and am curious about how it works.

-I read this little blurb about how Joanna Gaines feels and deals with mom guilt and did a little happy dance in my head. I love when moms share this kind of thing, because it makes others feel less alone.

-Target's spring home line. OMG. I am resisting the urge to re-do my entire house.

-J.Crew & J.Crew Factory are having great President Day sales this weekend, with 40% off and 60% off respectively. A great time to grab some spring goodies!

Weekend Recap + This Week's Menu

Another weekend over too soon! How was yours? 

We had a pretty good one, with C attending a friend's birthday party on Saturday and a pretty low-key rest of the day including a trip to Target, just mommy and Haddie. Carrington has never been too into shopping (there's still time!) but Hadley loves a little trip to the store and will even say "yook at that! isn't that cute, mommy?" I die.

On Sunday Steve's parents came for a visit, and Steve and I got to sneak away for lunch at a restaurant that just opened a week or two ago. It was so good but so. much. food. I didn't (and couldn't) eat another thing for the rest of the day. Such gluttony. But it was a special meal to celebrate Steve's upcoming birthday, so it was worth going all out. 

That night everyone but him and me (haha) had crockpot chili and cornbread for dinner and we turned on the Superbowl in the background. Did you watch? 

This week is a busy, busy one... work, school, activities, dentist appointments for the kids, school conferences, kindergarten registration, tons of errands, birthday celebrations, and preparing to have the whole family at our house this weekend to celebrate FOUR (!) birthdays! I'm so excited to host but there's a lot on the to-do list.

Wednesday - Breakfast for dinner! Eggs, tots, leftover bacon & Morningstar "sausage"

Thursday - Pasta with sundried tomatoes, spinach, and Italian sausage

Friday - Fish sticks, rosemary fries, salad

Saturday - Party at our house! PIZZA :)
